Koei Tecmo revealed that sales for the Atelier Ryza trilogy of games surpassed two million copies worldwide. To celebrate this milestone, Koei Tecmo and Gust will re-release some pre-order bonus DLC for Atelier Ryza 2 for free in Japan. It is unclear if the DLC will also be made available overseas. In addition, Character Designer Toridamono drew a new illustration to celebrate. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Here is the full list of DLC that Gust is re-releasing for Atelier Ryza 2 to celebrate the two million sales milestone:

  • The Nostalgic Straw Hat DLC Accessory for Ryza will cost 330 JPY (or roughly $2.29 USD.)
  • The Summer Fashion Costume Set includes new costumes for each party member, and will be available for free.
  • The “Beware of Puni!” and “Blue Puni” costumes for Ryza will be free.
  • The limited edition exclusive “Sonnet of Dawn” costume for Ryza will be available for free.

All DLC will be available on the PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, but only the Nostalgic Straw Hat and Summer Fashion Costume Set will be available for Steam users. This DLC will be available until July 21, 2023.

Additionally, Ryza-themed costume DLC available on Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water and Blue Reflection: Second Light will be free for a limited time.

Koei Tecmo is also planning a giveaway on the Japanese Atelier Twitter account of a soundtrack CD signed by musical artist Reche, a signed photo of popular cosplayer Moe Iori, and other merchandise.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key is the latest entry in the trilogy of games, and it is available for the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC. The Atelier Ryza anime adaptation is set to premiere on July 1, 2023 in Japan.
