Square Enix released the fourth and final FFXIV Tales Under the New Moon story, and this time it involves Alphinaud, Alisaie, and the Leveilleur family. "A Legacy of Hope" features Ameliance Leveilleur, the twins' mother, happening across a journal and remembering a past memory of the family together. It is now available on the official site alongside the other three stories.
The story begins with Ameliance cleaning ahead of an exchange student coming to stay with the family. When she does, she happens upon a desk passed down in the family. Upon looking to see why a drawer is askew, she happens upon a journal that belonged to Alphinaud, which is when this FFXIV story involving him and Alisaie begins in earnest with a flashback to an earlier time. The story then shifts to Alphinaud as the focus as he’s bored and alone after Alisaie took off with Louisoix and their dog Angelo without him.
