3 years 11 months ago

Recently, Microsoft announced that it will start hosting monthly Nintendo Direct-style video updates in order to reveal upcoming games ahead of the launch of the Xbox Series X this holiday season. The first of those events--dubbed Xbox 20/20--is this Thursday, May 7, and Xbox general manager Aaron Greenberg offered some new details on what to expect from it.

As Greenberg previously indicated, while this month's Xbox 20/20 will feature Xbox Series X gameplay, it will not feature some of the biggest games from Microsoft's first-party studios, such as Halo Infinite. Those first-party games will be explored as part of July's event. Instead, the livestream will focus on the console manufacturer's third-party partners.

So far, the only game confirmed to appear during this livestream is the just-announced Assassin's Creed Valhalla. There are several confirmed games for the Xbox Series X, including Gods & Monsters, Halo Infinite, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Watch Dogs: Legion. It's unclear if any of these games will appear during the Xbox 20/20 event, along with hotly-anticipated current-gen titles that are confirmed to appear on Xbox Series X, including Cyberpunk 2077.
