In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the fish and bugs you can catch change with the seasons. As each month ends, there will be a handful of fish and bugs you won't be able to catch again for several months, so it's a good idea to catch them as soon as possible so you can donate them to your museum and enter them into your Critterpedia.

Northern Hemisphere
March isn't a big month for fish and bug departures in the Northern Hemisphere, but you'll definitely want to get a stringfish if you're able. These ultra-rare fish only appear in the rivers on your cliffs; the exact elevation doesn't matter. Stock up on fish bait and be prepared to fish for a while.
