The Outer Worlds developer Obsidian has released a statement condemning racism and police brutality and voicing support for Black Lives Matter. Additionally, Obsidian is donating $25,000 USD to the NAACP, becoming just the latest video game developer to make a sizable contribution to a charity that fights racism in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

"We stand against systemic racism, injustice, and violence perpetrated against the Black community not only by police, but by anyone," the statement says. Obsidian went on to say that it will improve its hiring practices as it relates to creating a more diverse workforce.
