Halo Dev Has Raised Over $400k For COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Halo developer 343 Industries has thrown itself into fundraising for COVID-19 relief, and has now revealed how much money they have raised. The developer raised funds through two channels--the sale of $10 REQ packs in Halo 5, and with a new shirt that was sold for $25 (it's now sold out).

In a tweet from the official Halo account, we now know that over $430,000 has been raised and presented to Global Giving's coronavirus relief fund. At the time of writing, this fund has brought in a total of over $6.8 million, and is seeking to provide aid where it is most needed during this global pandemic.

The shirt is sold-out, and while we don't have exact figures on how many REQ packs sold, it must have been quite a few.

343 Industries isn't the only Halo developer raising money for COVID-19 relief, as Bungie has its own initiatives. Many other developers have also dug deep--Bethesda donated $1 million to charity, for instance.

In other Halo news, Halo: The Master Chief Collection continues its rollout onto PC, with Halo 3 and ODST currently next in line for release.
