Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Rumored

Multiple sources are reporting that this year's Call of Duty title from developer Treyarch is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The talk surfaced recently when Okami posted a mock-up of the title leak on twitter, followed by Eurogamer citing its own multiple sources corroborating the news.

Earlier this year, Kotaku mentioned the Cold War setting as well as revealing that the game would include a single-player campaign, which was absent from 2018's Black Ops 4 (shown), though it also returned in last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Kotaku also reported that Treyarch would be the lead developer of this year's COD, with Activision subsidiaries Raven and Sledgehammer in support.

There is further support for the Cold War rumors from data-miners who have found Cold War-era equipment, including a spy plane, in locked bunkers in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Activision has not made an official announcement about the next Call of Duty title, other than to say one is coming this year.
