This is why you don't do a tricky puzzle with less than one heart left in Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Throughout the past several years, Zelda: Breath of the Wild players have learned some hard lessons. Things like "don't get too close to dragons" or "don't play with rocks next to a family of wolves." Now, Reddit's brenrob has a lot of time to reflect on why you should never roam around any Zelda game with less than one heart left.

Sharing their recent conquest on reddit, brenrob noted that it took them "ages" to catch a specific bonus chest in a shrine: smaller micro-dungeons of sorts with various puzzles. But just as they are slowly reeling it in and dump their prize on the ground, the chest has a mind of its own, jumps out, and kills Link dead. It's straight out of Dark Souls: this is Mimic behavior.

For those who are curious, the scene is from the Champion's Ballad DLC, where you're tasked with a quarter of a heart until the challenge is completed. They had no choice!
