Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Earth Day patch is out, here's what it brings

Did you hear about all of the stuff coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons throughout the year (until June 30 to be exact)? You can read about it here, I'll wait.

Didn't click the link eh? Well here's a recap. Today, on April 23, New Horizons is getting two more permanent citizens. Leif, the leaf vendor will sell "an assortment of foliage, shrubs and flower seeds" occasionally in the square and Redd (Jolly Redd) will sail to your island to sell fake and/or real art.

Nature Day also takes place today and will feature "special Nook Miles challenges." On May 1-7 May Day will whisk you away to a new island, Museum Day is May 18-31 and Wedding Season is June 1-30. There it is! But let's get back to today. Version 1.2.0 is out, and it concerns Leif and Redd, as well as the backend ability to access those seasonal events. You can boot up your game now and reap the benefits.

There is one drawback though. Tom Nook also reduced the amount of interest you earn at the start of each month for bells in your deposit box: likely due to time travelers (who can jump forward in time and earn unlimited bells). It's pretty amazing how easy it is to cheat in this game, yet cloud saves are still held back.
