Recently, his studio has released the JRPG Fantasian for Apple Arcade, which has been met with acclaim from both critics and fans.
Wuhan-based developer Nekcom started teasing a brand new game code-named “Project SAS.”
The teaser website has been published, counting down to a reveal five days from now and providing a retro-style teaser trailer that shows what appears a tidbit of the game at the end.

We aren’t even a week into 2022 and already another large video game publisher—this time it’s Square Enix—is praising the metaverse and blockchain gaming while planning to invest more resources into this terrible version of the future. And according to Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda, the publisher could even…
Microsoft Flight Simulator is a… flight simulator, but what if it was a boat simulator?
If you like to have fun and experiment outside of the usual flying, the new Luxury Speedboat released by Adi S. may be the gadget for you.
It’s now available on SimMarket for approximately $11 plus applicable VAT. And yes, if you’re wondering, it doesn’t fly. It appears to be a reproduction of the real-world Riva Aquariva Super.

Star Citizen continues to break records and the end of 2021 marked another year of crowdfunding growth for Cloud Imperium Games.

While it doesn’t have a name yet, we know from the logo that the manufacturer is Consolidated Outland.

Game of Thrones author Gorge R.R. Martin contributed to the lore of the upcoming game Elden Ring, and now the writer has discussed the project in more depth.
Posting on his blog, Martin said From Software's Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team reached out to him "a few years back" to discuss the potential of helping the team work on Elden Ring for its backstory and history.
Martin acknowledged that video games are "not really my thing," but the opportunity to work on Elden Ring was "too exciting to refuse," he said.
"Miyazaki and his team from From Software were doing groundbreaking stuff with gorgeous art, and what they wanted from me was just a bit of worldbuilding: a deep, dark, resonant world to serve as a foundation for the game they planned to create. And as it happens, I love creating worlds and writing imaginary history," Martin explained.
"So I did my bit, and handed off to my new friends in Japan, and they took it from there. And years passed. Video games are as big as movies these days (bigger, actually)… and take just as long to create. But the day of Elden Ring is finally at hand. And I've got to say, it looks incredible."
Also in the post, Martin said some of the games he played in in the past have included mostly strategy titles such as Railroad Tycoon, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Master of Orion.
Following a delay, Elden Ring launches on February 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
Elden Ring isn't the only project that Martin is attached to releasing in 2022. He's also working on the Game of Thrones prequel show, House of the Dragon, which debuts this year.
The story continues in a few months.

Cobra Kai was originally released as a YouTube series, but quickly made its way to Netflix where it’s recently seen the release of its fourth season. To celebrate season 4, Epic Games is having a small collaboration event by featuring new skins that you can get in Fortnite.
While none of the show’s characters themselves are actually being represented in the game, you can still deck out your characters in the karate uniforms of the various schools from the show. This, of course, includes the titular Cobra Kai, as well as Miyagi-Do dojo, run by Karate Kid protagonist Daniel LaRusso.
You can also purchase a Crane Kick emote, which lets you get into the iconic crane pose that LaRusso took in the final moments of his tournament battle against Johnny Lawrence in the first movie before knocking him out for the win.

“One of only five magicians who exist in the world.
Successor to the Fifth Magician. Overall, she is not considered a skilled magician.
However, when it comes to “destructive” power, she is unrivaled in her talents.
The sight of her raining down bullets like hot geysers has also given her the direct, yet rather tasteless nickname, “Magic Gunner”.
Who she learned it from is unknown, but she is also familiar with martial arts, and has a battle style that could be considered a hybrid of those martial arts and magic.

The first rule of video game club (apart from not talking about video game club) usually involves saving the world somehow. We do our best to rescue others from harm, to avert world-ending disasters, and give everyone around us the happy ending they deserve. But if there's one thing I've learned about myself in 2021, it's that I'm a cruel, heartless robot who will happily toss others under the bus if they don't provide any material benefit to me. Or at least I am when I'm playing Unsighted, the gorgeous and criminally underrated action RPG from Studio Pixel Punk that puts a ticking time-bomb inside each of its characters' metallic chests which, if left unchecked, will remove them from the game entirely, preventing you from gaining some potentially very handy upgrades to help you in your quest to fight back against your human oppressors.
It's an ingenious system, as you're not only fighting against the hordes of enemies that appear onscreen, but your own ineptitude.

Game designer Hideo Kojima has discussed some of his plans for 2022, saying he plans to experiment with a "radical project" this year and make further investments to the "video team." Kojima said he might also pursue something new like a "radio project" of some type.
Kojima discussed all of this on Twitter recently (via VGC). He said 2021 was a "very difficult year," but despite the challenges due to the pandemic, the team was able to release the Death Stranding Director's Cut on PlayStation 5. Additionally, Kojima said his team spent time in 2021 "solemnly preparing and experimenting with new titles."
Although 2021 was still a very difficult year for us, we managed to deliver the release of DSDC for PS5 safely even in this COVID situation while we were solemnly preparing and experimenting with new titles.

Marcus Lehto, the original designer of Master Chief and one of the chief architects of the entire series, has shared his thoughts on Halo Infinite. After playing the campaign over the holidays, Lehto said Halo Infinite's campaign "brings back the magic of Halo," even if he did have some issues with the game.
"Hats off to my friends at 343," Lehto said. "Halo Infinite campaign brings back the magic of Halo. Really enjoying my time back with the Chief!" Lehto added that it wasn't a perfect experience, though, as the designer remarked that he was having some issues with regards to the objective priorities on the open world map. "Common problem or an OK Boomer issue?" he said with a laugh in another tweet.
Hats off to my friends at 343. #HaloInfinite campaign brings back the magic of Halo. Really enjoying my time back with the Chief!

Halo Infinite's lead narrative designer, Aaron Linde, has announced he is leaving 343 Industries in 2022. Linde said on Twitter that he is leaving to "pursue a new opportunity," but didn't share exactly where he is going just yet.
Whatever the case, Linde said it was a "terrifically difficult decision" to leave 343. "Halo Infinite will remain one of the proudest achievements of my career for the rest of my life," Linde said. "I'm so grateful to have been a part of it."
Bittersweet news to report: I'm departing 343 Industries to pursue a new opportunity in 2022. It was a terrifically difficult decision; Halo Infinite will remain one of the proudest achievements of my career for the rest of my life. I'm so grateful to have been a part of it.
— Aaron Linde (@aaronlinde) December 31, 2021
Linde went on to say: "I want to thank my dear colleagues at 343 for making the best game I've ever worked on, our incredible voice cast for elevating our work in every single line delivery, and our players for joining us on this wild-ass journey. You made 2021 an incredibly special year for me. I get squidgy talking about real sh** on this stupid website [Twitter] so I'll leave it at that for now. But I can't underscore enough how grateful I am and always will be. See you next mission."

Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda penned and published a New Year’s letter on the official SE website unveiling the company’s future initiatives. Based on the medium-term business strategy that Square Enix announced in 2020, AI and cloud research and single-player/multiplayer blockchain games that prioritize token economies continue to dominate the R&D team’s priority list.
In his letter, Matsuda stated that 2021 was “Metaverse: Year One” – Facebook changed its name to Meta, and substantial advancements in extended reality tech helped cement the global conversation about metaverse-centric business opportunities. 2021 was also, as Matsuda put it, “NFTs: Year One given that it was a year in which NFTs were met with a great deal of enthusiasm by a rapidly expanding user base.” So, what does this mean for 2022?
