New PlayStation Merchandise Looks Back Into Its Past

Sony announced a new line of PlayStation merchandise, with items featuring motifs reminiscent of the original PlayStation 1 model. Japanese retail store Thank You Mart will release the new line of official licensed PlayStation goods from March 17, 2023. The items will be available to purchase from retail stores and the online store. Some of the 16 items offered include stickers, keychains, bags, compact mirrors, rugs, and cushions. The items in the new line of PlayStation licensed merchandise are modeled after the original PlayStation 1 console and first DualShock controller. A majority of the items offered will cost 429 JPY (roughly $3 USD), with the exception of the silicon coin purse and tote bag. Those will cost 858 JPY (~$6 USD) The cushion will cost 1,287 JPY (~$9 USD.)

In addition, Uniqlo collaborated with Sony on February 20, 2023 to release a new line of exclusive PlayStation-themed T-shirts in Japan, as part of their “UT Collection.”

The new PlayStation official licensed merchandise comes out in Japan on March 17, 2023, and it will be available for purchase from the Thank You Mart online store.
