You might overlook the “Goading the Grapes” Octopath Traveler 2 side story. If you walk down the steps just outside the town entrance at Western Conning Creek Coast, you’ll happen upon a Grape Farmer who needs help. The vines aren’t growing properly. Fortunately, a nearby NPC mentions a grape expert in Cropdale, so solving this side quest is as simple as passing along the tips.
The Grape Expert is always at the Cropdale tavern bar, regardless of the time of day. This means you could have Castti or Osvald get the information during the day or bring Hikari or Temenos along at night to learn what you need. You’ll get the Tricks to Growing Grapes information via whichever method you choose. (I went with Osvald’s Scrutinize.)
After delivering the Tricks to Growing Grapes to the Grape Farmer, Octopath Traveler 2’s “Goading the Grapes” will end. You’ll get 10,000 leaves and a Nourishing Nut (M) as a reward for bringing the good news.
