The official Arc System Works website for DNF Duel went over the Switch version’s features. The Q&A section on the product page for that iteration confirmed that there will be no crossplay compatibility. If you are playing DNF Duel on the Switch, then you will only be fighting people who also own that version. The Q&A noted crossplay is limited to PlayStation platforms. So someone on a PS4 or PS5 could play someone on a PS4 or PS5. The PC version also lacks crossplay.
As for the DNF Duel Switch netcode, it is delay-based. All other versions available now use rollback netcode.
