'No Plans' for Fall Guys to Come to Xbox Game Pass

3 years 3 months ago
Excitement was sparked today after fans spotted Xbox Game Pass suggesting Fall Guys would be arriving soon – but Mediatonic and Devolver have since quashed the idea, with the publisher saying there are "no plans" for the game to hit the subscription service. As pointed out by ronbag on Reddit, the Xbox Game Pass Instagram account recently replied to a user hoping for Fall Guys on Game Pass by saying "it's coming". However, after news started spreading today, the game's official Twitter account, and publisher Devolver moved to deny it. Devolver explained to journalist Tom Warren that there are "no plans" for the popular game to come to "any form" of Game Pass - meaning the Xbox, PC, or cloud versions of the service. It's not clear how the miscommunication happened, but the Fall Guys Twitter account called it "a bit of a mixup". Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout saw huge success last year, after launching on PC and PlayStation 4 (debuting as a PS Plus game). An Xbox version has never been officially denied, but it seems it won't be joining Xbox's subscription service anytime soon. We awarded Fall Guys an 8/10 review, saying "a collection of exciting minigames and a burst of every colour under the rainbow makes Fall Guys a consistent delight." The game's success has led to a number of collaborations, with Doom-themed costumes being the latest addition.
