Monster Hunter Rise: Here's What Comes in Each Edition

Monster Hunter Rise is now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. It offers the series' patented gameplay loop of hunting giant beasts and using their parts to craft better gear that lets you take on even bigger monsters to craft even better gear, and on and on. What Is Monster Hunter Rise?

Monster Hunter Rise features seamless open-world environments, with areas featuring more verticality than in previous entries. To help you scale the new heights, your character is equipped with a Wirebug that functions like a grappling hook to fling you around. You're accompanied on your hunts by an adorable dog-like character called a Palamute. This furry friend helps you in combat and lets you hop on its back to ride quickly through the game world. In terms of the monsters you'll encounter, it's a mix of beasts from previous entries, like Arzuros, as well as new creatures like a giant bird called Aknosom, an amphibious creature called Tetranadon. The new flagship monster this time around is Magnamalo
