The Community Spotlight 2021.11.13

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! I, @zombiepie, am honored to be your host as we look back at the best community works from the previous week. Well, Extra Life's Game Day came and went and the Giant Bomb Team ended up raising $123,244, which as of the writing of this Spotlight is enough to put the team #4 on Extra Life's overall team rankings. Many thanks to all who participated! Both users and staff allowed this year's Extra Life to go off without a hitch. Also, please be aware, Fundraising Pages (new and old) stay open through December 31! If you were not able to donate or participate during the event, you still can! Also, don't think this is the end of Giant Bomb's Extra Life coverage! We still have some heavy-hitters yet to stream for the event. When it comes to general programming news, there was not a new episode of The Very Online Show this week due to Tamoor experiencing real-life issues. Wish them the best in their struggles on twitter if you can. Also, starting with the new new Limp Bizkit album episode, Albummer will be free for all from this point forward! Finally, Ben will be doing a new premium show called "Giant Bomb Presents: Voicemail Dumptruck!" Check out the full pitch during episode 711 of the Giant Bombcast.

For the first time ever, every team member got at least one donation. Also, the team has raised OVER $100,000! The team goal is to raise $223,566 so Giant Bomb can crest an all-time total of $2,000,000 raised for Extra Life! Giant Bomb proper has a personal goal of $100,000. Don't forget that the Giant Bomb Discord collective will be streaming on 11/20/2021 and Dave Lang has created an Extra Life page with their stream scheduled for "soon."
