If you’re seeing the notification that text chat has been disabled in Destiny 2, you’re certainly not the only one. All text chat has been disabled for Destiny 2 across all platforms, leaving most players very confused. Here’s why text chat is currently not working for Destiny 2.

Turns out this one can be attributed to players looking to ruin others’ fun. Over the weekend, Destiny 2 players started to notice frequent crashes with the attached Weasel error code. It was soon discovered that that text chat could be exploited to crash others’ games using a specific bit of text. On June 30, Bungie issued the below tweet and fully disabled the function to avoid this exploit.

Marvel Studios recently had an incredibly successful panel at San Diego Comic-Con, full of exciting announcements of upcoming projects. D23 is fastly approaching, with the convention lasting from Sept. 9 to Sept. 11, and Marvel Studios is confirmed to have a prominent appearance at the convention. This means that there could be some big information at D23 regarding future titles that the studio did not make at SDCC.

While the San Diego Comic-Con panel did show some form of information about almost every upcoming MCU title that has been announced, there were a few notable exceptions, which will be looked at below. Even included below are projects that have not been confirmed in any capacity but are announcements that are still somewhat probable.

It’s also important to note that this is a list of things that we saw zero about at SDCC, meaning that projects like The Marvels are not included below, even though the only thing that we heard about at Comic-Con was that the release date for the film is the same as has been announced previously.

Atlus has released another daily trailer for the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2 focusing on a location in the game and a dish you can grab there.

This trailer showcases the ramen shop named Ramen-ya in Karakucho, where you can buy a hearty bowl of wonton noodles called “Hagoromo Wantan-Men.”

Like most daily trailers, we also get the daily horoscope, which sees Leo at the top of the fortune ranking and Libra at the bottom.

Soul Hackers 2 launches for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC ( both on Steam and on the Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese release on August 25.

Captaincy is coming to Sea of Thieves! What does that mean to those not versed in pirate speak? You'll now be able to buy and customize your own ship. This ability arrives within game's seventh season, launching on August 4.

Even if you've made it rich in Sea of Thieves and are loaded to the gills in gold, you can only purchase one of each type of ship: the Sloop, Brigantine, and Galleon. Within the teaser video above, we see the Sloop goes for 250,000 gold, the Brigantine for 375,000, and the four-person Galleon at 500,000. Once one of these vessels is yours for the keeping, you can give it a name, and it'll appear on a wooden plaque on the ship's crest. If you really want to put your fingerprint on it, you can customize the captain's cabin, right down to the design of the table, chair, and carpet.

Your accomplishments on the high seas can also be displayed in the cabin in the form of new trinkets. We don't yet know how many trinkets are available, but the video shows items that can sit on shelves or hang on walls. You can place each one as carefully as you want. Be warned: Each item is physics based, meaning they will slide in storms and when under attack. You may have to pick them up and readjust how they are hung after an expedition.

Each time you return to your ship, it'll be just as you left it – including damage sustained. You can make it look new again by spending some gold at a shop to fix the damage and give it a fresh coat of paint.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in the U.S. can obtain new user icons designed after Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters by redeeming their My Nintendo Platinum Points throughout August 2022. Users can gather the points by completing Missions in the Nintendo Switch Online app. They will then be able to use their points to purchase rewards such as user icons.

The icons will be available for a limited time. Nintendo will split the distributions into five waves on a weekly basis. The schedule for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Platinum Points Rewards is as follows:

• Wave 1 starring Noah and Mio: July 28 - August 4, 2022
• Wave 2 starring Eunie and Taion: August 4 - 11, 2022

Third-party developers released new assets showcasing upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We take a look at a brand new trailer of the upcoming FS Traffic AI add-on by Just Flight.

According to the developer, there is “still some way to go yet in terms of the development,” but you can see that it already looks quite promising.

It may have been only two months since we last saw a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the upcoming Netflix anime helmed by Studio Trigger, but the streaming platform is not letting up. Ahead of its September launch, a second Cyberpunk: Edgerunners trailer was released, this time focusing on the Edgerunners Crew.

In Stray, you take on the role of, well, a stray cat. After a nasty fall, you become separated from your feline family. Now you must wander the dystopian, cyberpunk-esque ruins of a once human city, now inhabited by robots. Stray presents many big questions through environmental storytelling and minor ones as well, such as: is the cat in Stray a boy or girl?

It would appear that the cat’s gender in Stray is left rather ambiguous. None of the robots ever refer to the cat by any particular pronouns. Furthermore, neither the protagonist, nor the other cats that appear in Stray, was modeled with reproductive organs.

You could argue that, due to it being a bit on the smaller side, it might be female. However, an equally strong argument is that the models used as inspiration and animation are both male. As for the voice (yes, there was a cat just for voice acting), a female cat was used. That’s what we call a “stalemate.”

Today Bandai Namco revealed the 3rd Anniversary update for its popular game Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

A few years back, in a bid to explain Fortnite's unexplainable world, Epic Games came up with the term "Snapshot" to describe, in-universe, why its battle royale matches can feature multiple people playing as the same Fortnite character, or why seemingly singular characters available in Fortnite - like Peely the banana, or The Rock, or Wolverine - can reappear under different guises.

If you'd asked me four years ago, as Fortnite's quickly-thrown-together battle royale was blowing up and footballers were doing its dances in World Cup matches, I'd say it was probably The Next Big Thing. Three years ago? Fortnite was established as a phenomenon, an industry-leading showcase of engine mastery and live service development that could pull off in-game stunts like no other. Want to blow up bits of the map in real-time with a giant volcano? No problem. Stage a giant monster versus mech fight and invite everyone in to see it live? You got it.

This weekend the Formula E London E-Prix took place at the ExCel exhibition centre, the only top-level indoor and outdoor track in international motosport. It may not quite have the prestige of F1, but the sport is rapidly growing in popularity.

And it's not just about electric cars, but virtual ones too. On Friday night the second Accelerate esports championship took centre stage at the London E-Prix. Streamed live on Twitch and YouTube, it saw drivers going head-to-head to win a share of €100,000.

The esports arm of Formula E grew during the pandemic and a need to engage racing fans online. Now that's shifted towards expanding the audience of the sport, enticing fans to watch the real E-Prix through a love of video games and esports.

Warner Bros. Games has released a good chunk of gameplay for its upcoming game Gotham Knights, with IGN debuting the first 16 minutes of the action RPG. While players will be able to choose between four of Batman's protégés including Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, the video puts Batgirl in the spotlight.

The investigation scene featured in IGN's video functions as a kind of tutorial level, taking the player through the basic mechanics and scenarios that will crop up later in the game. While the video shows off the first 16 minutes of actual gameplay, it skips over a narrative-centric prologue that Warner Bros. is choosing to keep secret for now.

In an accompanying article on IGN, Gotham Knights creative director Patrick Redding explains that the game won't force players to start out as underpowered weaklings, as may be traditional in the RPG genre. Each of the playable characters are "effectively graduates of the Batman School of Crime Fighting," Redding explains, meaning they won't have any problem taking down your average thug.

On July 21, EA published an update to The Sims 4's policy regarding modding and content creation. While the post stated that EA understands mods are an "important part" of the player experience and outlined how players can re-enable mods following them being automatically disabled after The Sims 4's newest update, it also established a new set of rules for content creators and modders--and not everyone is happy about them.

Per EA's new guidelines, The Sims 4 custom content creators are no longer allowed to promote mods "in a way that suggests they are endorsed by or affiliated with The Sims, Maxis, or Electronic Arts." As such, creators are prohibited from using "any game logos or trademarks, including versions of the plumbob, or key art designs" to promote their creations.

While this might be an inconvenience for modders, the second set of terms is proving far more controversial. According to the post, all content created by modders must now be distributed to the public free-of-charge. Mods can no longer be "sold, licensed, or rented for a fee," nor can they contain features that support "monetary transactions of any type." EA added that creators are free to "recoup their development costs" by running ads on their websites to generate revenue and donations--just so long as whatever in-game content they create is not behind a paywall.

Shortly after the announcement was made, content creators began to speculate on whether this would impact the community's popular early access pay model, in which creators offer mods and custom content on sites such as Patreon to paying subscribers for a set period of time before opening them up for public access. Earlier today, Twitter user MarlynSims96 shared a conversation they had with a member of EA's support staff indicating this was the case.

Just about every week brings something new to Destiny 2, whether it's story beats, new activities, or interesting new combinations of elements that let players devastate each other in the Crucible. We've only got a couple of weeks left in Destiny 2's Season of the Haunted, and with the upcoming content season on August 23 comes a new raid. Or rather, we're getting an old raid, returning from the original Destiny, but reshaped and improved to play in Destiny 2, much like Vault of Glass. We now also have a date for that raid's release: August 26.

Speculation has been rampant about what that raid will be, and while Bungie released information about the date we can play the raid, it still hasn't told us what that raid will actually be. There are a few possibilities: Crota's End, the raid in which players delved into the depths of the moon to defeat the son of the Oryx, the Taken King; King's Fall, a raid on Oryx's ship in which we killed the Hive god himself; and Wrath of the Machine, a raid that took place in a section of the Cosmodrome called the Plague Lands.

Ubisoft has announced a limited-time event for Rainbow Six Siege called M.U.T.E. Protocol: Flesh and Metal. The event will run until August 23, and players will have the opportunity to unlock new cosmetics and participate in a new mode called Arms Race.

M.U.T.E mode is set in a version of the Tower that has been taken over by the Brain. When players kill an opposing team member, they'll upgrade to a new weapon tier. Once a player is killed, they'll quickly spawn back in, but they'll be one weapon tier lower than they were before dying. There'll also be multiple power-ups, such as Power Dash, allowing players to run through walls scattered across the map for players to use.

The game's objective is to obtain the highest weapon tier, the Golden Hammer. To win a round in M.U.T.E, players must use the Golden Hammer to smash the Brain's shields on the map.

The M.U.T.E. Protocol event will have new Organics skins. The following cosmetic items will be featured:

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is now available on the Nintendo Switch, offering up a wide variety of different RPG systems for you to sink your teeth into. One of those systems is the cooking system, which lets players feed their party and gain a wide variety of different boosts. How cooking works in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Cooking is unlocked in chapter 2, while traversing through the desert. Manana is in-charge of making food, but you need to gather the necessary ingredients. Each dish offers different bonuses, like additional XP, CP, enemy drops, or enemy gold drops, all of which last for a specific amount of real-time. Similar to the Gem crafting system, you will need to collect a variety of different ingredients, either by finding them in the open world or getting them as drops from different monsters.

Once again, information about Tactics Ogre: Reborn has surfaced, this time via the Australian ratings board. Square Enix has still not officially released any information about the tactical RPG's re-release.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn has been rated M, meaning moderate in this case, for mature themes and violence. The listing says that the game was classified on April 22, 2022 and the the game is multiplatform, though it does not specify which platforms.

This is the latest in a long line of small leaks, starting with Square Enix trademarking Tactics Ogre: Reborn in March 2022. Then PlayStation Store briefly listed the game, before taking the link down. Then leaked backend files revealed that the game is a port of the 2011 PSP version of Tactics Ogre. According to that leak, this version would revamp the class system, add auto-save, make battles faster, as well as allow control and UI remapping.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is the second game in the Battle Ogre series. It's comparable to Final Fantasy Tactics, as the player controls small armies of individual warriors on a grid-based battlefield. Originally released on the Super Famicom, Tactics Ogre first saw a North American release when it was ported to PlayStation in 1997. It was then ported to the PSP in 2011. That was the last time any Tactics Ogre, or Ogre Battle game for that matter, was released.

Square Enix has announced a new update for its action RPG mobile game Echoes of Mana.

Starting on August 4, players can obtain rewards for the 100th Day Anniversary Campaign, including campaign rewards, 100 summons' worth of tickets from login bonuses, missions, and quests.

From now until August 31, players can participate in a limited-time scenario event called "Labyrinth of Lost Heroes," that'll include the following:

• Three-star Sumo "Resolve Renewed" Version
• Three-star Memory Gem "Fearsome Foursome"
• Four-star Duran "Trusted Shield" Version
• Four Star Escad "Beholder of Justice" Version
• Four Star Memory Gem "Finalizing Fate" through the "Labyrinth of Lost Heroes Harvest (summons)"

Echoes of Mana features an original story with characters from multiple Mana titles, such as Trials of Mana, Secret of Mana, and Adventures of Mana.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the latest entry in the Xenoblade series, is finally here, and that means there is a mountain of new RPG systems to master. One of the systems in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the Gem system, which allows you to craft items that give characters boosts in battle. These gems take the place of most regular equipment and weapons that would be present in other RPGs. Here is everything you need to know about the Gems in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

How Gems work in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Crafting Gems with Riku is introduced in chapter 2 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, at which point each character has one gem slot. A second slot is unlocked at level 20 and a third unlocked at level 30. Gems can be crafted at most campsites in the wilderness. Gems are split into four categories; Defender, Attacker, Healer, and Specialty, with five gems in each category.

Each gem can be upgraded up to level 10. Crafting or upgrading a gem will take a gemstone, a variety of random crafting materials found throughout the world, and an Ether Cylinder after level 1. You can pin a Gem's crafting materials from the crafting menu, but finding specific items in the open-world has an element of chance, so you're better off picking up as many materials as you can while exploring.

You can also bypass the required materials using Gold Nopon coins, although the required amount increases dramatically each level. If you are really struggling to find specific materials, you should use Nopon coins to bypass the requirements, as the needed materials change each upgrade level. It's important to note that a single Gem can be equipped by multiple characters. That means every member of your party could have the same gem equipped if you wanted.

Diablo Immortal's pay-to-win mechanics have been well documented. That, in turn, increases a powerful stat called Resonance, which boosts the base attributes of all equipped gear by a certain percentage.
