World of Warcraft, a game long defined by the divide between the Horde and the Alliance, is getting cross-faction play. It's a major shake-up to the ongoing MMORPG that launched 18 years ago, a change that will at long last allow orcs and humans to set aside their differences and fight shoulder-to-shoulder.

Set to debut in a patch that will release sometime after the game's upcoming 9.2 update, cross-faction support will let Horde and Alliance players group together for a variety of content, including dungeons, raids, and rated PvP.

It's one thing that Thresh can take a beating without breaking a sweat, it's another that this behemoth is able to pull enemies and allies around the arena with little effort. That sort of field control makes him a dangerous option at any point of a match. Use that control to your advantage in battle, either pulling an enemy away from an ally with Death Sentence or saving the ally with Dark Passage.

The soon-to-be-released skateboarding game OlliOlli World is getting a surprising crossover character. The actor Danny Trejo, known for his TV and film roles in Breaking Bad and Machete, will come to the world of Radlandia across all platforms when the game releases on February 8.

Trejo's appearance in OlliOlli World is Trejo's "most realistic digital representation yet," the developers joked. As you can see in the image below, Trejo's character model sports his famous mustache, cross necklace, and hat. He's also wearing a cutoff shirt and has tattoos.

As mentioned, the Trejo character in OlliOlli World will be available across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam at launch on February 8. Players who find Trejo in the game will unlock a side quest, and completing it unlocks a special cosmetic item, according to Eurogamer.

Halo Infinite's newest multiplayer mode, Attrition, was removed from the sci-fi shooter today as part of the end of the game's Cyber Showdown event. But it's coming back, and when it returns, it may get its own playlist.

Lead multiplayer designer Andrew Witts said on Twitter that when Attrition does eventually return, it might get its own playlist or it will be included with a new playlist. Witts also thanked fans for playing Attrition during the Cyber Showdown event and sharing their feedback.

"We love the mode too and we're happy to see such a positive response to it," Witts said.

Attrition gives two teams of four a limited number of lives, with the aim of depleting them to zero to win. The twist is that players can revive teammates, although it can be risky. The mode was live in Halo Infinite from January 18-February 1 as part of the Cyber Showdown event. There is an achievement connected to Attrition, so anyone who didn't unlock it the first time will thankfully have another chance.

In addition to calling for its return, Halo Infinite players have also requested that it be added to Ranked, though whether or not this might happen remains to be seen.

A new free mission is coming to Far Cry 6, combining the game's sun-soaked world with yet another action hero. Titled "All The Blood," the mission brings Rambo to Yara and gives players a brand-new deadly weapon upon completion.

The mission, which players can find in the world of Yara starting today, adds a Rambo superfan to the game who needs Dani's help. Following them will lead players on a mission packed with stealth and combat sequences as they attack enemy bases. Finishing All The Blood will reward players with one of Rambo's iconic weapons, the Vengeance Bow, which shoots explosive arrows that can devastate regular enemies and heavy vehicles alike.

Real-life Rambo superfans can also purchase a new Rambo bundle starting today. Packed with themed goodies, including a new outfit for Dani, as well as new weapon and vehicle skins.

Far Cry 6's Rambo crossover is the second-to-last free expansion coming for the game. According to the game's roadmap, another free expansion is set to arrive in March, bringing Stranger Things' Eleven into Yara for yet another crossover event. Far Cry 6's new Rambo expansion follows another crossover from last month that saw Danny Trejo join the game's cast.

Season of the Lost ends in a few days and if you're hopping back on to Destiny 2 to prepare for The Witch Queen, you're in luck. Bungie posted a notice in-game that the Shattered Realm and the Ascendant Anchors will now follow a daily rotation.

The Shattered Realm activity is broken into three locations, each with its own secrets and challenges. Throughout the rest of the season, the location of the Shattered Realm changed each week. The new daily rotation makes it easier to knock out all the story missions quickly, since the season is set to end on February 22.

In the Shattered Realm, players enter the Ley Line Conjunction to align the beacons and save the lost Techeuns. Players can update their abilities through the Wayfinder's Compass at the H.E.L.M. to find secrets hidden in each Realm.

The three Shattered Realm locations are:

• Forest of Echoes with patrol Ascendant Anchors on the EDZ.
• Debris of Dreams with patrol Ascendant Anchors on the Tangled Shore.
• Ruins of Wrath with patrol Ascendant Anchors on the Moon.

This change can help players accomplish more Seasonal Challenges and completion of the Season of the Lost Triumph Seal called Realmwalker. Realmwalker requires players to enter the Shattered Realm to beat the activity in Legendary difficulty, discover data caches, and solve hidden mysteries with Techeun abilities in each Realm.

The Pokemon MOBA, Pokemon Unite, has introduced a new battle pass that includes a range of additional items to unlock, including Wild West-themed outfits.

Battle Pass 5 is out now, and it has 90 levels to progress through by completing missions to earn the rewards. As usual, players can purchase the "premium" pass for real money to get extra content.

There are also bonuses just for logging into Pokemon Unite. Now until February 13, everyone who logs in gets silver badges that can be exchanged for items, like the western-themed Holowear hat for Machamp. Then from February 28-March 14, players can log in to collect gold badges to get even more items.

Additionally, there is a special assignment called Berry Picking with Greedent. Every day until February 20, players will get four random missions, and completing them earns players 20 Aeos coins, along with an allotment of Berries, which can be used to unlock additional cosmetic items.

In other Pokemon news, Nintendo just recently launched Pokemon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch, while Pokemon Go has a Lunar New Year event going on.

Manchester United's Mason Greenwood has been removed from FIFA 22, after the footballer was arrested on charges of sexual assault and threats to kill.

Greenwood was brought in for questioning over the weekend following social media posts from his partner, where she showed injuries reportedly inflicted by the athlete. Audio of threats by the footballer were also shared, before everything was taken down once a formal investigation had started.

Manchester United, the English Premier League club that Greenwood plays for, barred the player from training and participating in matches until the matter is resolved. EA has also taken its own steps to remove the player from FIFA 22, updating the active roster for the club in-game to omit Greenwood while also removing him entirely from FIFA Ultimate Team and Ultimate Draft.

Greenwood remains an option in the team in Football Manager 2022, however, with license holder Sports interactive stating that it "has not yet made a decision as to Mason Greenwood’s status in Football Manager 2022 and will not do so until the findings of the current police investigation are made public," according to a statement published by The Athletic.

The move by EA comes after Greenwood's price in the game's Ultimate Team mode skyrocketed after the allegations were made public. The developers of the game attempted to curb the issue by locking the player's price in place over the weekend, but now that the arrest is official it seems he will remain removed from the game until further notice.

As the years have gone on and we've moved from one console generation to the next, we've generally expected to see games' file sizes continue ballooning. However, new technology is changing that, and Dying Light 2: Stay Human's PS5 file size is further proof.

After an image posted on Twitter apparently revealed a 25GB size for the PS5 version of Dying Light 2 and nearly 51GB on PS4, GameSpot reached out to a PR representative for the game. They confirmed that, before any launch-day patches that may occur, these numbers are roughly what to expect. The Steam version, meanwhile, is about 43GB, while the Xbox Series X|S version is about 35GB. A file size for the Xbox One version was not shared.

Out of context, it seems odd that a more advanced version of a game would have a smaller file size, but that's where the new consoles' hardware comes into play. On PS5 specifically, the system has something called Integrated IO, which architect Mark Cerny previously explained was a much more efficient technology for compression.

The Xbox Series X, meanwhile, makes use of its own technology to minimize file size, including a custom algorithm for texture data. The SSDs' speed also reduces the need to have any duplicate content on the drives. It should, hopefully, help to prevent the all-too-common trend of games getting to over 100GB via updates after their initial launch. We've seen a few other games, including Control, get smaller file sizes on newer platforms, too.

A free Bloodborne comic is coming on May 7 as part of this year's Free Comic Book Day, and will serve as an exclusive lead-in to a new Titan Comics series also set to release in May.

For those not in the know, Free Comic Book Day is an annual event on the first Saturday of May that sees nearly every major comic book publisher release free comics. Those comics can then be snagged at no cost at your local comic book shop.

After shortening its name, Square Enix officially opened preorders for the long-awaited Triangle Strategy. If you're looking to preorder the game ahead of its March 4 release on Nintendo Switch, here's everything you need to know.

Fighters in League of Legends: Wild Rift take up the front line, dealing damage in healthy doses while also being able to take a few hits. It's a big month for Destiny 2, as the game's long-awaited The Witch Queen expansion arrives on February 22. Ahead of that, Bungie has announced that the expansion has already reached more than 1 million preorders.

At this level, The Witch Queen is on track to become Destiny 2's most preordered expansion ever. The studio did not say which expansion currently holds the record for most preorders. In any event, this suggests The Witch Queen will be yet another major moment in Destiny 2's history.

In addition to confirming the preorder numbers, Bungie released a new Witch Queen trailer that shows off some of the impressive-looking new guns and armor coming to the game in the expansion.

Apex Legends Mobile, the on-the-go version of EA's popular free-to-play battle royale, is set to "soft launch" in a number of countries around the world soon, and developer Respawn has outlined how interested players can begin the pre-registration process.

Players in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand can pre-register for the game's soft launch directly through the Google Play Store. Respawn states more information will be coming soon about how users on iOS devices can sign up to play.

Testing for Apex Legends Mobile started in the Spring of 2021 in a series of small beta tests in countries like India and the Philippines. Soft launches are fairly typical for mobile games, serving as extended beta tests for when the game releases worldwide. There is currently no word yet on when the game will release in regions like the United States or Europe.
