Fans of Elden Ring, the joint collaboration between Dark Souls maker FromSoftware and Game of Thrones writer George R. R. Martin, have been desperate for confirmation that the game is still real and will eventually come out. It now sounds like they have an answer: according to a new report by VGC, trailer footage of…
Over the last year, I can say with a clear conscience that I never once hoarded toilet paper. But I did stockpile instant Korean noodles, with no thought or care for those who might go without.

Destiny 2's top-tier PVP activity was forced offline at the weekend after a popular method to fix matches was suggested to have affected around 50 per cent of players on flawless runs (where teams hit the mode's goal of a seven-match streak).
Via its Bungie Help Twitter account, Destiny 2's developer said it had pulled the mode yesterday evening for the remainder of its weekly rotation due to an unspecified "issue" - though fans were quick to guess why.
Frustration at the state of Trials of Osiris, the game's sweatiest and most competitive mode, has been growing for some time. Players have long complained of cheating, team carrying, poor matchmaking and the sheer amount of effort (seven consecutive match wins) required to grind out its best rewards.
Mastering Rainbow Road on the Switch is one thing, but what if you could set up your own terrifyingly treacherous Mario Kart course for whatever's lying around in your own home? That's part of the dream behind Mario Kart Live Home Circuit, which is now on sale for £80.
Of course, I may be over-estimating the capabilities there, considering Martin found it to be a "glorious toy hemmed in by a few key restrictions" in his Mario Kart Live Home Circuit review. Nevertheless, this cool bit of tech is the cheapest it's ever been - so that might be enough to finally tempt you with a purchase.
You'll find the offer available at both Amazon UK and Game. Currently, both the Mario and Luigi versions are available. The Mario edition has sold out a lot quicker in the past (soz Luigi) so expect that one to have gone first if you're looking a bit later in the day.
A string of Elden Ring whispers and a report detailing leaked gameplay footage point to an impending reveal of new information on the under-wraps FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin collaboration.
The industry chatter has served to reassure some fans concerned by the fact they had not heard anything more of the project since its announcement at E3 in June 2019.
Over the weekend, Venturebeat's Jeff Grubb, speaking on the GamesBeat Decides podcast said that fans would not have to wait long for information, and alluded to having seen strong evidence the project was definitely "not vapourware". Shortly after, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier chipped in on Twitter to say there was "strong evidence floating around that the game will be shown relatively soon".
Juro Watari, creator of the exhilarating mech-fighting series Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, has announced that he is leaving Sega after almost three decades of working alongside the studio.
Watari announced his departure on Twitter, thanking Sega and fans for their support of the preceding decades. Watari noted that he has not yet decided on what path his career takes at this point, but expressed desire to continue working in game development. In an additional tweet, Watari said that his resignation was not related to any controversial or negative feelings within the company.
Juro Watari has been with Sega since the mid-'90s, working on arcade releases such as 1994's Jurassic Park and street basketball title Hard Dunk. In 1996, Watari designed and developed Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, a dynamic arena fighter which sees players piloting a roster of unique mechs, (or "Virtuaroids"), battle it out in tactical, twin-stick action. The series would produce numerous sequels and spin-offs, making cameos in franchises such as Yakuza, Super Robot Wars, and even Project: DIVA.

Forever Entertainment, the publisher responsible for Panzer Dragoon: Remake and the recently confirmed Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake - has entered into an agreement with Square Enix Japan to produce multiple remakes based on one of the studio's classic IPs.
While the IP itself was not revealed, nor were the amount of games or a release window, it is believed that the remakes will feature a full visual overhaul while retaining each title's original gameplay. It is unknown whether the new games will be developed before, after, or alongside Forever's incoming remakes of 1996 Sega shooter The House of The Dead and its 1998 sequel, The House of The Dead 2.
Panzer Dragoon: Remake is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake will launch later in 2021.

I'm always down to seek out and stare at amazing Nintendo crafting projects. This one is no exception.
As shared on reddit by user PandaWalkWithMe (David Lynch would be proud), this is a "1:1 Nintendo Switch, with detachable Joy-Con and a docking station, made entirely out of paper." It was evidently a university project by their girlfriend, who is studying product design.
You can see how the Joy-Con detach here.
It really highlights how fun and unique the Switch design is. When the Joy-Con come on and off, I can hear that audible "snap/click." Drifting aside (haha), the Switch is a really easy sell, notably because of how interesting it looks right off the shelf. Nintendo is going to keep selling these things and approaching the 100 million mark as we speak.
Where it'll end up is anyone's guess, though no one is in position to really challenge the roughly 155 million units of the PS2 and DS line.

Valorant’s esports scene is really starting to flourish. At the center of it all is Riot Games’ Valorant Champions Tour, a year-long event divided into three stages, each with its own set of three qualifications. Stage 1 is just about to reach its “Masters” event following three hugely exciting qualifiers.
There’s a bit of a caveat, however: Masters are supposed to be international affairs where the very best teams from around the world compete against each other. But as a result of COVID-19 and the knock-on effect of not being able to host LAN events, Masters Stage 1 has been limited to an online, domestic tournament. It’s basically a glorified version of what we’ve seen already in Challengers (the qualification stages).
Thankfully, though, Riot has today confirmed that Masters 2 will mark the game’s very first international event, and the developer has picked a dramatic location to kick things off: the tournament will be hosted in Iceland, and it will take place later this spring at the Laugardalshöll arena, May 24-30.
The tournament will be a LAN event, though without any live audiences. Fans will be able to tune in online via Twitch and YouTube.
Perhaps the only disappointing aspect of the announcement is that just 10 teams will be competing. Huge regions like NA and Europe only have two slots. In fact, Europe has somehow been bundled in with CIS and Turkey, meaning that an enormous number of teams will be scrapping it out for the chance to go.
The announcement comes by way of a trailer reveal from Riot, teasing some of the excitement to come.

“In the far distant future, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it.
As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity.
Since that fateful day psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.
