When I saw Crowns & Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit, I immediately thought it was some sort of Sims-like game, with its bright, colourful palette and inviting, simple gameplay. And although the gameplay is indeed a simple, point-and-click adventure, it’s packaged so charmingly that I found it difficult to resist.

The game begins at a computer screen (like most of our days) in sunny Chicago, where Milda, while customising her character in a game called Crown Kingdom, receives news that her grandfather in Lithuania has passed away, and she’s been named the inheritor of his property there. After stepping away from the desk, we’re introduced to the game’s mechanics: hold the mouse’s scroll button to highlight points of interest in that particular environment, and left-click to interact with one of them. There’s also your phone and inventory in the top corner.

At this particular moment, your friend Dana is putting on a little art exhibition downtown to woo a potential investor. Dana’s both supportive and intrigued, and promises to fund your trip abroad if she secures the advance. After interacting with the nearby girl scout at the lemonade stand and the blues musician, you’re quickly on your way.

Wonderful indie hit Papers, Please is coming to mobile phones - nearly a decade after it launched first on PC.

Creator Lucas Pope, who went on to create the equally brilliant Return of the Obra Dinn, announced the mobile version of Papers, Please over the weekend with a 5th August release date.

In Papers, Please you play as a border control agent for a fictional Eastern Bloc country, and must balance formal immigration checks with the emotional guilt-trip of turning away the starving and needy.

It’s safe to say that the transition from Greek to Norse Mythology has been a resounding success for God of War. The deities and ancient figures of Scandinavian folklore make for a colorful cast of characters, and the ethereal beauty of the game’s eight Norse Realms are some of the most visually interesting locations we’ve ever seen in a video game.

Yet the change in setting has also teed up a new layer to the series’ narrative. For the first time, God of War lore confirms that ancient mythologies existed concurrently, and Kratos is obviously able to travel between and interact with them.

Naturally, then, even as we embarked on our adventure across the frigid northern lands of Midgard, we couldn’t help but wonder where the series might go in the future, and we think one scene in the game might actually provide one almighty great clue.

Without wading too deeply into story spoiler territory, we’ll say that there’s a certain scene in which Kratos and Atreus uncover one of the many story images in the game depicting a scene from Norse mythology. Except this one is slightly different. Kratos himself remarks that the runes adorning each corner of the image aren’t runes at all but symbols from different lands — symbols of other ancient cultures that exist simultaneously to Greek and Norse.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn - one of the worst-kept secrets in video games - launches on 11th November on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, according to a fresh leak.

Gematsu reports the release date and more information about the unannounced remaster was revealed via listings on PlayStation Store price tracking website PS Deals (PS5, PS4).

As Gematsu points out, PS Deals is a PlayStation-focused website, so other platform releases are possible.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town on PS4

As one of Harvest Moon’s successors, Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town combines all your favorite simulation games into one with its intricate gameplay mechanics and fun social interactions. Like other installments of the franchise, you’ll be able to upkeep and manage a farm while helping improve the overall map.

At the beginning of the game, the character makes their way to Olive Town, a place their grandfather and his friends established long ago. After growing up listening to all the stories of the area, they finally decide to go there and expand their grandfather’s legacy.

Once I reached the player customization of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it offered additional options you don’t often see in other games in the genre. Instead of simply choosing your gender, you can do a mixture of any feminine and masculine characteristics. For example, you can have a character that has a female body pose and male facial features while choosing any voice of your choice.

Square Enix's remaster of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together may have a release date. A listing on PlayStation Store price tracker site PSDeals.net lists the Tactics Ogre: Reborn release date November 11, 2022. The listing also included a detailed description of the remastered title's features, and a few screenshots. Previous leaks showed off some new key artwork and a possible cover shot, but no release window, screenshots, or description.

According to the description on PSDeals.net, Tactics Ogre: Reborn is destined for PS4 and PS5. It is based on the 2010 PSP-based Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. It's worth reiterating that at the moment none of this information is confirmed.

In addition to a release date, the Tactics Ogre: Reborn description touts a "completely revamped AI", and a change of the level management system from being "class-wide" to "unit-by-unit". It also highlights playability improvements like a quicker battle speed, auto-saving, and an overhaul to controls and UI. Character art and backgrounds have been recreated in HD.

Production-wise, cutscenes will be fully voiced in English and Japanese. The music of Tactics Ogre: Reborn has also been rerecorded with live performances.

It might not be the crossover you imagined or even knew you wanted, but it’s awesome all the same. During their performance in Romania last week, musical duo Twenty One Pilots played Heathens as a tribute to the latest season of Stranger Things.

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer showcased a variety of characters, including Shuri, Nakia, and Ramonda. However, there is one character who stood out from the rest as a newcomer to the franchise. So, now you may be wondering, who is Namor in Black Panter 2 and what is his role in the film?

Who is Namor in Black Panther 2?

Based on the comics, Namor is the ruler of Atlantis with many powers, such as superhuman strength and underwater capabilities. Being born from unique circumstances, he is half-human and half-Atlantean, which you can see a glimpse of in the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Since Wakanda and Atlantis are both highly advanced countries, they often compete against each other and have fought in multiple wars. Namor, also known as Sub-Mariner, has battled against T’Challa (Black Panther) several times in the comics. For example, Black Panther tried to take down some Atlanteans after they stole Wakanda technology, resulting in a later duel between the two.

Almost everyone knows the members of the famous Fantastic 4, including Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic, The Thing, and the Human Torch. But, after years of the team being absent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the company officially announced the series’ new movie installment. Frozenheim on PC

The real-time strategy genre has undoubtedly seen more lows than highs recently, with the once-dominant genre on PC now more of a quirk, relegated to a select group of players that continue to keep it alive. As one of those dwindling numbers, the premise of Paranoid Interactive and Hyperstrange’s Frozenheim was intriguing. Here was a Norse city-builder that boasted real-time strategy elements, where combat and settlement management came together to test your mettle both as a ruler and warrior; what’s not to like? Unfortunately, just like the cold winters faced by your virtual clan, Frozenheim is not exactly a comforting game.

The game can largely be broken down into the single-player portion and a more competitive multiplayer part. Although 21 story missions might sound like plenty of content for a campaign, the short nature of these missions and the actual gameplay itself, positioned more as educational romps, leave much to be desired.

The Bloody Hunt event is still underway in Dislyte, with new missions and opportunities to pull for the new Flow-attuned Esper, Zora. However, Lilith Games isn’t wasting any time as they’ve already put out a teaser for the next update in the game.

Details are scant, but it looks like Dislyte’s next update will introduce another three Espers to the game. It’s likely that we’ll get two 4-stars and one 5-star like with the Bloody Hunt event, and hopefully one of them will be given out for free, like Ullr and Meredith. Bringing the series back after years away, it offered new developments and vital clues regarding the winding plot the series is crafting. As it currently stands, there is no confirmation on whether or not Re: Zero will get a season 3.

As such, Re:Zero is not at risk of cancellation due to flagging popularity, and it’s not at risk of being outdone by other offerings either.

It’s been a while since fans have heard anything from Netflix regarding the Kengan Ashura anime, and if you’re one of them, you wouldn’t be blamed for wanting to know: When is Kengan Ashura season 3 coming out? Fortunately for you, we’ve done some digging and have an answer for you.

When Will Kengan Ashura Season 3 Be Released? Answered

As it stands, the third season of Kengan Ashura likely won’t be released until either the latter months of 2022 at the earliest or sometime in the first half of 2023.

The reason for this is due to two factors. On one hand, the series hasn’t received an official release date. Instead, it has only received an official announcement via Twitter saying that a third season is in production and will once again stream on Netflix. This alone means the next season is still a ways off from being complete, and that both Netflix and Larx Entertainment, the studio animating the show, aren’t comfortable giving a firm date just yet.

On the other hand, the anime’s completion doesn’t mean it will be released immediately to every region of Netflix. Like many of the streaming platform’s other anime offerings, it could very well be withheld until it can be released as one complete season. This would mean that while it could technically be available at an earlier date in Japan, there’s no guarantee that it will be viewable in the United States, Europe or other regions until an unspecified time.

Japan has a big passion for Pokemon and many in the country absolutely love vehicles of all kinds, and the video you’ll see below is all about that.

We start at Tokyo Haneda airport, with Pikachu and two kids taking part in a tour of Solaseed Air’s Pokemon Jet Boeing 737-800 featuring Exeggutor, showing the flight deck, the cabin, and the exterior. It’s quite cool, and I’ll even forgive them for pressing one of the landing light switches with the camera showing one of the beacon lights activating.

We then move on to Ichinoseki Station in Iwate prefecture, where we get to inspect a Pikachu-themed train.

The next segment is set in Yokohama port, where Pikachu checks out the ships of the Japanese Coast Guard.

Lastly, we go full circle as Pikachu visits Haneda Airport again, and more specifically the Coast Guard’s hangar with its Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma helicopters and Gulfstream V jet.

Yes. I’m feeling right at home here.

Another daily trailer of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2 has been released by Atlus, focusing on one of the demons that will be featured in the game.

This trailer shows off Okuninushi, another demon inspired by Japanese folklore that first debuted in Megami Tensei II in 1990. It also appeared in the recent Shin Megami Tensei V.

Like most daily trailers, we also get the daily horoscope, which sees Sagittarius at the top of the fortune ranking and Pisces at the bottom.

Soul Hackers 2 launches for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC ( both on Steam and on the Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese release on August 25.

Nexton has officially announced the title of its upcoming 30th-anniversary project as simply “One.” with a full stop.

While details have not been announced, this is likely a remake of the legendary visual novel One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e, which has been teased since April.

The game will release in 2023, and platforms have not been revealed.

That being said, we do get a look at the main heroines, Mizuka Nagamori, Rumi Nanase, Misaki Kawana, and Akane Satomura, who come indeed straight from the original game, albeit with a renewed character design.

If you’re unfamiliar with One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e (which translates as “To the Radiant Season”), it was released originally as an eroge in 1998 for Windows and then ported to PlayStation one year later with the usual all-ages version.

It’s considered one of the pioneering works of the sub-genres of visual novels that mix science fiction and fantasy elements with romance, and is cited as a source of inspiration, among others, by Type-Moon’s Kinoko Nasu.

After being teased for a long time now, there is finally more information on the Avengers movie that will adapt Secret Wars. However, you definitely won’t be able to enjoy it any time soon. In the comics, the Secret Wars storyline first happened in the mid-80s and involved the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man. All these teams were suddenly teleported to the mysterious Battleworld, which is a world cobbled together from pieces of many planets from all over the multiverse.

In some good news, the next Avengers movie has been announced. In bad news, there is quite a bit the MCU will have to get through before the new movie will come to theaters near you. Here’s when Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be coming out.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be the fifth Avengers movie in the MCU and will be releasing in theaters on May 2, 2025. That’s not a typo; Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is still barely under three years away.

Considering the large number of MCU titles coming between now and May 2025, it is highly likely the hero roster in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be entirely different than what was seen in Avengers: Endgame.

While ,of course, there are no story details at present, a slight bit of context can be gleaned from the title. Kang refers to the character played by Jonathan Majors in the Loki series. Kang will be playing a large role in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and it is likely this will serve as a sort of setup for the future Avengers film.

This weekend, Marvel announced a whole new slate of MCU projects to come, all of which are set to start a pretty exciting Phase 5. The reveals included everything from a release date and trailer for Black Panther to a new 18-episode series for Daredevil.

Amidst all of these announcements, one Twitter user decided to have a little fun, making up their own series that would see Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme and Sony’s morbin-man team up together.

As you can see above, user DiscuusingFilm, who uses a similar name and the same logo as notable site Disucssing Film, posted that a Wong and Morbius collaboration would be coming to Disney+ for a six-episode run in Fall 2024. While this announcement fooled a lot of people, many caught wise to the idea pretty quickly.

2K Games and Firaxis Games revealed another video about the turn-based tactical game Marvel’s Midnight Suns, dedicated to one of its playable superheroes.

This time we shift away from the gameplay, and we take a look at the history behind Spider-Man, which is complex indeed.

Unlike the previous videos, which served as a brief introduction and as a deep dive into the gameplay, this one explores the origins and various twists and turns of Spider-Man himself, also explaining his encounters with the supernatural.

This is especially interesting in relation to the game, as in Marvel’s Midnight Suns he definitely has access to arcane abilities, while most see him as a predominantly science-based superhero.

SDCC this weekend revealed a ton of information about both this phase of the MCU and the one to come. In a swath of reveals, a new Captain America movie was finally announced. Here’s when Captain America: New World Order will come out.

Captain America: New World Release Date

You’ve got quite a wait for this one. Captain America: New World Order will be coming to theaters on May 3, 2024. Told you it was going to be a long wait. This will be the fourth Captain America movie in the MCU.

There are currently not any known details as to what the title could mean. It is likely a continuation of the story told in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The last Captain America film was Captain America: Civil War in 2016. As of Avengers Endgame, the title of Captain America has certainly shifted to Sam Wilson/The Falcon.

While it is highly likely that Captain America/The Falcon will feature in other MCU properties ahead of time, this will be the only possible solo outing. Though, there is a second season of What If…? coming that could change that.

Today Nippon Ichi Software released a new trailer of the upcoming RTS remaster GrimGrimoire OnceMore.

The trailer focuses on Alchemy, one of the kinds of magic available in the game, allowing you to summon different familiars to do your bidding.

We get to see the Blob, the Gargoyle, the Golem, the Homunculus, and the Chimera, showing the full range of familiars available to summon and fight when using Alchemy runes.

Yostar and Hypergryph conducted the 2.5 year anniversary stream for the global edition of Arknights on July 23, 2022. Alongside previews of the upcoming anniversary event, a new trailer for Arknights: Prelude to Dawn, the anime adaptation of the game, was shown.

The trailer features new footage from the show, as well as voice acting in Japanese by Tomoyo Kurosawa, who plays Amiya.

The setting and catalyst for events in the game world of Terra is clarified a bit more in the traile for Arknights: Prelude to Dawn. Amiya's speech reveals that Originium, the fictional material that powers all manner of technology and Arts (magic) in Arknights' world is also the source of Oripathy. Oripathy is an incurable disease caused by exposure to Originium. While some gain unusual powers and abilities due to their Oripathy symptoms, most "Infected" are doomed to a painful existence. Infected sometimes form Originium crystals on their skin or organs, and even explode when they die. Infected are segregated away by various Terran governments and persecuted mercilessly.
