It looks like Dark Souls 3 PC online servers may be coming back soon.
It's been over 183 days since the servers were shut down following the discovery of a security issue in the multiplayer functionality affecting all three Dark Souls games on PC.
However, an update to the game on the SteamDB page suggests a solution could be on the way soon.
A California judge has approved Riot Games' $100 million settlement following the gender discrimination case brought before the League of Legends firm, meaning more than 1,000 women are expected to receive payouts following their mistreatment at the studio.
Axios reports the settlement was approved on Friday, with more details revealed about how the $100 million will be used to address the issues raised by the class action lawsuit.
Payments will range from four to five-figure sums, and will be issued to more than 1,000 women who have worked at Riot Games since 2014. Payouts are also expected for over 1,000 contractors.
A Nier: Automata player has stumbled upon a secret room in the game that's remained undiscovered since its launch in 2017.
The discovery was made by reddit user sadfutago and has dataminers scratching their heads at how it was achieved.

Earlier this month, Rockstar confirmed the end of any major support for Red Dead Online, with the developer shifting its focus to Grand Theft Auto 6. This left many cowboys disappointed (to put it mildly), to the extent an in-game funeral was held to mourn this loss.
While Rockstar may be jumping ship and swimming away from its Red Dead franchise, modders are not. In fact, a mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 will let you play as a totally new character of your own creation, give you a new skill tree to fill up and allow you to take on all-new heists.
I appreciate I said 'new' quite a lot there, but it fits the bill. This is no small undertaking by the modding community.
David Warner, who played Baldur's Gate 2 villain Jon Irenicus, has died at the age of 80.
Born in Manchester in 1941, Warner developed a prolific acting career that stretched across seven decades and spanned film, television, stage and video games.
On the big screen, Warner starred in movies such as Titanic, The Omen and Mary Poppins Returns. In 1981, he won an Emmy for his role in historical epic Masada.
A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 adds a new single-player experience to the game, with new missions, heists, and your own, bespoke character.
The Life of Crime mod allows you to begin a whole new wild west adventure, starting with the creation of a new custom character that follows in Arthur Morgan’s footsteps.
“The whole point of the mod is to play as a completely NEW character with all of your weapons and money being removed,” said creator CruelMasterMC. “NOT to play as Arthur or John. This is the whole point of the mod.”
Once installed, you kick off the Life of Crime by talking to an NPC with a white hat at Copperhead Landing, and what unfolds is a daring breakout from Siska penitentiary. This custom intro sequence gives you a little background as your character takes part in the prison break. And it’s not long before you’re meeting up with a contact to embark on a life of crime.
“While you play on in the game you can earn all of the weapons by buying them from a gunsmith or finding them anywhere on the map,” they added. “Earn more money from doing missions and such to pay for these things and many more things I plan on adding.”
Some of the many planned additions teased by the mod’s creator are additional heists and bounty hunting. Even right now though, the mod is pretty extensive, including a new skill tree and two new missions – a manor heist and a train heist.
The buddy cop genre has seen something of a modern resurgence over the last few years. With flicks like Bad Boys for Life, The Nice Guys, and 22 Jump Street making waves, it’s undoubtedly a popular sub-genre that sell tickets and helps put bums on seats.
Today, a certain buddy cop pic is celebrating an eighth spot in Netflix’s Top 10 most watched movies. That’s right, we’re talking about the comedic action remake, CHiPs, which, according to Top10Netflix, is enjoying its first week in the site’s Top 10 with an impressive 7,480,000 hours viewed by subscribers all around the globe. Not too shabby, huh?
Directed by actor-comedian-director Dax Shepard (who also stars in the film), CHiPs is a remake and reinterpretation of the classic 80s NBC action-drama created by Rick Rosner, which sees two motorcycle cops taking charge of the California Highway Patrol. Action hijinks and comedic escapades often ensue with some light drama thrown in for good measure. Pretty sure you know the formula, right?
Released back in 2017, CHiPs was lambasted by critics for its low hanging fruit jokes, juvenile humor, and often homophobic tone. In fact, over on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, it features a lowly 19 percent Critical Rating and a modest 45 percent Audience Score. Ouch!
Despite all this, there still seems to be an audience who’re clearly enjoying the film. And while it may not be the funniest movie in the world, at least it’s got Million Dollar Baby and Crash’s Michael Peña, who’s usually a joy to watch.

The My Nintendo Store store went offline yesterday in the UK, and will remain unavailable due to maintenance until tomorrow, Wednesday 27th July.
It follows the disappearance of the store in several countries across mainland Europe, where a similar maintenance message popped up admitting downtime lasting "a few weeks" (thanks, Nintendo Life).
Nintendo has not given any further details of the maintenance it has planned, or why it is happening now.
Ubisoft has debunked a rumour that it was going to cancel its free-to-play multiplayer title Roller Champions.
In a statement shared on Twitter, the company was very clear: "Roller Champions isn't getting cancelled, and Ubisoft fully supports it."
The rumour of the cancellation came from Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb, who said on an Xbox Era podcast that "Roller Champions is going to be cancelled after Season 3," reading a message he had received the previous day from an anonymous source.

Yet, Capcom mentions that the results of its Digital Contents business are considered “solid.” This is explained by the fact that this quarter is comparing with the one in which the publisher released Resident Evil Village & Monster Hunter Rise, while the only big new release this time around is Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
The specific results for the Digital Contents Business were net sales at 19,860 million yen (down 54.8% year-over-year) and operating income at 12,541 million yen (down 48.7% year-over-year).
The Pokemon Company and the Wand Company have announced a brand new item in the Poke Ball replica series: the Friend Ball is now available to purchase through the Pokemon Center website.
The Friend Ball is a die-cast replica of the design straight from the Pokemon games. It has a motion-sensing, multicolor light and comes inside a uniquely numbered case. The replica is true to size, fitting perfectly in the palm of the hand.
In the games, it is said that Pokemon that are caught with a Friend Ball will become more friendly to the trainer who catches them. This special type of Poke Ball was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver.

Rumors and hints about Kemono Jihen’s next installment have been floating around the community since it was first released last year. During this time, fans have wondered if the anime’s Season 2 will ever come out. Fortunately, news from the creator of the show may finally shed some light on the show’s future.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a strange yet welcome hit in the wider anime landscape. Combining the best elements that fantasy, slice of life, and shonen anime have to offer, it can be heartfelt or relaxing one moment only to toss out a battle scene the next. This remained true in its second season when it released in 2021, and if you’re like most fans, you were probably left with one burning question: When does Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid season 3 come out? Well, for better or worse, we’ve got an answer for you.
Currently, there hasn’t been an official announcement that Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is getting a third season. However, this doesn’t mean there is no chance of a third season whatsoever.
First and foremost, it has only been a year since the second season was released. Following the conclusion of the anime’s first season, there was a four year break before the second season began streaming. Several factors could have contributed to this lapse in output, but overall it was in line with a typical gap between producing full seasons of an anime that isn’t strictly Shonen. With this in mind, Kyoto Animation, the studio behind the show, is likely taking some time away from the series to prepare for the next cour.
This in turn would also be beneficial for gaining more source material to work with. The Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid manga is still ongoing to this day, and releases on a monthly schedule. As such, it takes longer for the series to build up chapters than a weekly-release manga would, slowing down the rate at which adaptation material can be created for the anime.
Despite releasing all the way back in 2018, God of War continues to remain strong as one of the most popular games of this generation. Sony Santa Monica’s action RPG has dominated the Steam charts for a bit now, but it looks like its reign has finally come to an end, as Stray sneaks into the top spot on Steam.
According to the charts on Steam250, which tracks the highest rated games on Steam within a one-year period, Stray has quickly become the highest rated Steam title of 2022. It beat out God of War by a very small margin, forcing it to drop down to the number 2 spot instead.
Of course, it’s worth noting that Stray is a very new game and recency bias is a thing, but considering that God of War has remained so popular for so long, it’s pretty impressive that it was eventually knocked down a peg by the cute cyberpunk cat game.
God of War is now available on PS5 and PC. Stray is also now available on PC and consoles.

If you found yourself suitably enthused for American Truck Simulator's Montana expansion following last week's 30 minutes of soothing cross-country trundling, there's some great news; it turns out developer SCS Software was somewhat underselling it when it said development was "slowly approaching the finish line" - the Montana expansion is out next week.
Montana - which will be American Truck Simulator's tenth explorable state, joining California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming - launches next Thursday, 4th August, giving players the chance to admire its "glistening glacial lakes, snow-capped mountain peaks, blue-ribbon trout streams, and mighty Missouri, Yellowstone, and Flathead Rivers", all from behind the wheel.

Vince has seven possible endings, including three in which he dies. If you fail the quick-time event during the fight with Dante in the motel bathroom, Vince can be electrocuted to death. Soul Hackers 2 launches for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC ( both on Steam and on the Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese release on August 25.
Rumours began to circulate over the weekend that Ubisoft were planning on cancelling their free-to-play fantasy sports game Roller Champions. The rumours grew to the point where Ubisoft have commented on them to say: nuh-uh. In a statement posted on Twitter, its developers say "Roller Champions isn’t getting cancelled, and Ubisoft fully supports it."
The Italian football club, Juventus, is coming back to EA starting with FIFA 23 which will be released on September 30.
In a press release, EA announced it has agreed to a multi-year partnership with Juventus that will welcome the Italian club back to EA Sports starting with the next FIFA game and continuing when EA rebrands as EA Sports FC.
Juventus previously had an exclusive relationship with Konami for its Pro Evolution Soccer series for the past three years.
The new deal means Juventus’ players, stadium, and jerseys will appear in the next EA soccer game, but the two brands will also “work across a number of lifestyle and cultural initiatives bringing new opportunities outside of football.”
EA announced earlier this year that it would not renew its license with FIFA, choosing instead to remain in the soccer sim space under the name EA Sports FC. Despite the name change, Along with Juventus EA has secured other teams from Europe’s top leagues who announced they are sticking with EA.
Meanwhile FIFA says it will work with other developers to create authentic football games and carry on the FIFA series with FIFA 23, FIFA 24, and so on.

Mages released two more trailers of its upcoming game Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix.
The trailers showcase three of the actresses featured in the game, Yumi Yotsuya, Yayoi Fujino, and Touka Shimoochiai.
In the first trailer, we get to see them within dialogue scenes, outside of battles, while the second showcases their customization and a brief look at battle gameplay.
As usual, the videos appear to be recorded from the Nintendo Switch of the game, as shown by the button prompts at the bottom of the screen.

American Truck Simulator's tenth expansion is almost upon us. The freight simulator's Montana DLC was announced in November last year, and now developers SCS Software say it'll begin its journey on August 4th. There's a new trailer and a longer in-game video to watch below.
Ubisoft says that Roller Champions isn't going to be canceled and that it will continue to support the game with more content and fixes.
"Let's clear it out of the way first, Roller Champions isn't getting canceled, and Ubisoft fully supports it. What the Roller Champions dev team is doing is making sure we focus on what our players have told us needs improvements, and that supersedes all other priorities," Ubisoft said in a statement on Twitter.
The game's first and current season, Disco Fever, will be extended and an upcoming patch will include cross-invites, which allows players to bring in friends who play Roller Champions on other platforms. Additionally, the team is trying to fix issues and address player feedback before moving on to the game’s next season.
Ubisoft’s statement is seemingly a response to rumors that began circulating saying that Roller Champions would be canceled after its third season.

Stray is an adorable new game about a cat exploring a post-apocalyptic future full of robots, and now, you can play through the whole thing as the laziest, chillest cat of them all: Garfield.
A new mod by modder Chris Rubino replaces the cat in Stray with a surprisingly believable rendition of Garfield of comics fame, right down to the lazy expression and chubby cheeks. That's it, that's all it does - no lasagna or Odie or Lorenzo Music voice, just the good old Garfield wandering around a robot city, fending off Zurks, and probably getting into more trouble than Garfield himself ever could at Jon Arbuckle's house.
For me, the best part of this mod is the deep expression of total ennui on his face:
It's no surprise that Garfield has entered Stray given that the original kitty is an orange tabby just like him, but other modders have taken it even farther already. There's a weird mod you can add that replaces Stray's meowing action with the sound of Heavy Rain protagonist Ethan Mars calling for his lost son. And delightfully, a number of modders are jumping on a new trend of making the cat in Stray look like their own cats at home.
